F-18 Fighter Jet Makes Emergency Landing

MOON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- An F-18 fighter jet had to make an emergency landing at Pittsburgh International Airport late Friday because of a possible engine fire.

That's according to an airport spokesperson.

The military aircraft had just taken off from the 911th Airlift Wing nearby when the pilot got a warning signal.

The two-person crew landed safely on a runway at the airport.

It was surrounded by fire trucks and other emergency vehicles. They planned to tow the F-18 back to the base.
