Pirates Blogger Breaks Down Cutch's Contract

Pat Lackey, author of the popular Pirates blog "Where Have You Gone, Andy Van Slyke?", joined 93.7 The Fan "Late Shift" host Chris Mueller Monday evening to break down the news of a long-term contract extension for All-Star center fielder Andrew McCutchen, which McCutchen reportedly signed late Sunday night.

Pat tells Chris why he thinks the team's most ardent critics and conspiracy theorists don't have a leg to stand on with regard to how the six-year, $51 million deal is structured. He also examines the dip in McCutchen's batting average toward the end of the 2011 season, and explains to Chris why he isn't worried about the return on investment the Bucs will receive.
