PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) – In an ever-growing amount, Hollywood is churning out movies in 3D, and while the quality of movies filmed in 3D greatly enhances the viewing experience, making a 2D film into 3D has mixed results.

Just in time for the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, James Cameron has released a 3D version of his iconic “Titanic” movie, but will it really be better in 3D?

KDKA-AM’s Larry and John talk to Mk Haley, Associate Executive Producer of the Entertainment Technology Center at CMU, about 3D movie technology and whether a 2D movie really works in 3D.
