Man In Hospital After Aliquippa Shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police in Aliquippa continue to investigate following an overnight shooting.

According to police, the victim was shot in the 1500-block of Tyler Street around 2 a.m.

Investigators say he was able to get to a nearby bar, called Captain's Corner. The bar was closing, but officials say they provided assistance to the victim until authorities arrived on the scene.

Aliquippa police have identified the victim as 18-year-old Dyquane Norman. He is believed to have suffered a gunshot wound to the chest or shoulder area.

He was taken by medical helicopter to a hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment. Officials say it has been determined that his injuries are not life threatening.

Police say Norman will be facing charges of possession of an illegal narcotic.

Meanwhile, the investigation continues into the shooting.
