HAMPTON (KDKA) — A man has died following a motorcycle accident Thursday night along Route 8.

Authorities say 57-year-old Raymond McMunn was pronounced dead at a local hospital late Thursday.

The accident happened just after 10 p.m. near Anderson Drive in Hampton Township.

There is no word yet on what caused the crash.

As a result of the accident, Route 8 had to be shut down in both directions Thursday night while officials investigated and cleared the scene. It has since been reopened.
