Black Ice May Be To Blame In Mercer Co. Crashes

MERCER (KDKA) — State police in Mercer County say black icy could be to blame in four accidents this morning near the intersection of Interstate 79 and Interstate 80.

According to state police, the accidents – all involving two vehicles – happened in the same area.

Some injuries have been reported, but no one was seriously hurt.

Officials say it appears a coating of black ice may have been on the road in that area.
