Bucs: Eight Pirates On All-Star Ballot
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- Pirates center fielder Andrew McCutchen highlights one of eight Pirates placed on the 2012 MLB All-Star ballot.
Should McCutchen be voted in, it would be his second straight All-Star appearance. He has started the year off strong, batting .400 with 18 hits in 45 plate appearances.
Along with McCutchen, left fielder Alex Presley, right fielder Jose Tabata, third baseman Pedro Alvarez, shortstop Clint Barmes, second baseman Neil Walker, first baseman Garrett Jones and catcher Rod Barajas are on the ballot.
Voting begins Friday. Fans can vote online up to 25 times at MLB.com and Pirates.com.
