Water Main Breaks In Aliquippa

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Crews are on the scene of a water main break on Franklin Avenue in Aliquippa.

Water was seen gushing from the street when the incident occurred. Franklin Avenue buckled in the process.

Part of Franklin Avenue is closed to traffic and crews are on the scene digging up the street.

Witnesses were suspicious when coming home to no water, only to find out the main had burst. Residents in the area are without water and, at this time, there's no word on when water service will be restored.

There's no word yet on when the road will reopen, either.
