PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) — Greg Brown joined Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN to talk about the Pirates facing Colorado Rockies’ veteran pitcher Jamie Moyer tonight.

Brown told us he just finished up talking with Rockies’ manager Jim Tracy about Moyer, and he said this version of Jamie Moyer is basically the same pitcher he was earlier in his career, and can still contribute at the Major League level.

We also got into the struggles the Pirates have had at the plate this year and whether or not the pitching staff will be able to carry them again like they did last year.

We wrapped things up with Greg finding out about his time as a backup Pirate Parrot during his younger days.
