Man Shot During Attempted Robbery In Bentleyville

BENTLEYVILLE (KDKA) — A man was shot during an attempted armed robbery in Washington County.

The 22-year-old victim from Eighty Four, Pa., told State police the suspect approached him at about 4:30 p.m. Friday while he was walking behind the Dollar General near the railroad tracks in Bentleyville.

The suspect demanded money, but the victim refused. After his second refusal, the victim was shot in the hand.

The victim was flown by medical helicopter to a hospital in Pittsburgh.

State police say the victim was unable to give a description of the gunman.
