Morningside Shooting Leaves 1 Dead

MORNINGSIDE (KDKA) – One person was killed in an early Sunday morning shooting in Morningside.

According to police, the shooting happened around 1 a.m. near the Joe Natoli Field on President Way.

Officers were initially called to the scene for shots being fired. When they arrived, they found a man face down on the ground in the back of the park suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Shakkeem Harris, 22, of East Liberty, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made and anyone with information is asked to call Pittsburgh homicide detectives at (412)-323-7800.
