Acme Burglars Caught On Tape

ACME (KDKA) -- State police released surveillance video today that they are hoping will help them solve a burglary in Acme.

The Come and Get It on Route 31 was burglarized early Saturday morning.

Surveillance video shows the suspects in a late 90's model Ford Explorer in the parking lot. They used an object to smash the front door.

Once inside, they tried to get into the cash register by repeatedly hitting it off the floor.

Police say what the suspects got away with was minor compared to the damage that they caused.

"There was virtually no money that was taken at the place of business, but an extreme amount of damage," State Trooper Steve Limani said. "They damaged over $2,000 worth of items when it came to the front door, the cash register and they did steal some cigarettes from the location."

The come and get it has an extensive surveillance system in place both inside and outside the store.

The suspects are believed to be two black men in their 20's.

"We're hoping that somebody will recognize the faces on the surveillance video and the police will be able to make an arrest and it won't happen again," Kelly Kimmell, an employee, said.

If you recognize the men in the video or have information about the break-in, contact Pennsylvania State Police in Greensburg.
