PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Evgeni Malkin scored a goal to cap a 6-2 victory for Team Russia in the gold medal game of the IIHF World Championship against Slovakia.

It was his 11th goal of the tournament to go along with eight assists. His 19 points led all scorers in the World Championship.

By winning the tournament scoring title along with the NHL scoring title, Malkin joins Wayne Gretzky as the only two players to ever achieve both in the same year.

Team Russia went a perfect 10-0 in the tournament. One two different occasions, Malkin scored hat tricks to power the Russians to victories.
