2 Kids On Bicycle Hit By Car In New Brighton
NEW BRIGHTON (KDKA) – Two boys were hurt when their bicycle collided with a car in Beaver County.
It happened near the intersection of Fifth Street and 12th Avenue in New Brighton Monday night.
Jamison Ahmed was riding his friend, Xavier Reynolds down a steep hill. Reynolds was standing on two blue pegs attached to the rear wheel of the bike.
They couldn't stop.
"We didn't have [any] brakes," Ahmed said.
A sedan pulled out in front of them. Xavier went flying past Jameson and was catapulted over the car, landing on pavement, suffering a concussion.
Jamison had a scrape on his back.
"And I know that God had his angels protecting both of them because we could have been burying two 9-year-olds," April Ahmed, Jamison's mother, said.
Xavier remains in critical condition at Children's Hospital.
