Arrest Made In Monroeville Mall Beating Case

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police have made an arrest in a brutal beating at the Monroeville Mall earlier this week.

According to police, a 13-year-old girl kicked and punched a 17-year-old clerk after being confronted about stealing merchandise from a Hollister store.

Officers identified her through tips and arrested her at an apartment in the 2500-block of Bedford Avenue around 9 p.m. Friday.

She is bring charged as a juvenile with two counts of robbery, simple assault and retail theft. She was also wanted by the juvenile court for a probation violation.

Earlier this week, police released video of the assault and a photograph of the suspect.
