Steelers Add Two Veterans To Roster

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — The Pittsburgh Steelers signed two veterans to their roster Wednesday, adding long snapper Matt Katula and linebacker Brandon Johnson.

Katula is a seven-year veteran, appearing in 93 games between Minnesota, Baltimore and New England. Most recenty, Katula played for the Vikings in 2011.

Johnson spent the last four seasons with Cincinnati as a backup linebacker and special teams ace.

In order to make room for Katula and Johnson, the Steelers released wide receiver Wes Lyons and placed wide receiver Connor Dixon on the waived/injured list.
