Temperatures, Humidity Expected To Soar This Week

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Mother Nature is going to turn up the heat this week as temperatures will climb into the 90s.

According to KDKA-TV Meteorologist Dennis Bowman, a mini heat wave is on the way for the Pittsburgh area this week.

Skies will turn mostly sunny for the afternoon on Tuesday and the temperature will max out at 92 degrees.

Humidity will continue to increase with the temperature over the next couple of days.

Tonight's low will be 68 degrees under a partly cloudy sky.

On Wednesday, we can expect it to be mostly sunny, hot and steamy with a high of 94 degrees and the Heat Index reaching the upper 90s.

Tomorrow night's low will be near 70 degrees.

Then, a partly sunny, hot and humid day is with us on Thursday with a high of 90 degrees. A cold front will bring late-day thunderstorms on Thursday and a break from the humidity for Friday and Saturday.

The highs for both of those days will be more seasonable at 82 degrees.

With the high heat and humidity, you should not leave children or pets in the car even briefly.

Temperatures inside a parked car can reach 200 degrees in weather like this.
