Using Technology To Get Help To Local School Teachers & Students

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - Too many teachers are forced to use their own money for needed class supplies, and the need to find alternate ways to help teachers and students is ever-increasing.

Now, two local groups have combined forces to help remedy this situation.

The Education Partnership, a non-profit group that bridges the  gap between what students have and what they need, and Just Between Friends, a communications company that connects teachers and parent groups, are combining forces to reach more teachers and students then ever.

In fact, they plan to help 16 schools in six counties in western Pennsylvania.

KDKA-AM's Larry Richert talks to David Radin, President of Just Between Friends, and Justin Brown, Executive Director of The Education Partnership, about how the new partnership will work, and why the need is so great.
