NEW CASTLE (KDKA) – Crews were called to a vacant house fire in Lawrence County Saturday night.

According to officials, the fire broke out in the 1100-block of Cunningham Avenue.

Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to nearby homes.

One neighbor said he heard a bang before the flames were spotted and then heard someone running from the house.

The fire chief said crews did find an open rear door.
