PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A man is behind bars today after a police chase in Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood overnight.

Authorities say police were chasing a vehicle just before 4 a.m. when the car backed into a police cruiser.

The driver of the car took off on foot, but was caught a short time later.

The chase started near Monticello Street and Brushton Avenue.

The police cruiser that was hit was just scratched and the officer was not hurt.

A woman passenger in the car was let go.

There’s still no word on what started the chase.
