Hampton Girl Performs CPR On 4-Year-Old Cousin

HAMPTON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A 10-year-old girl from Hampton who learned CPR in a babysitting class never dreamed she would put it to use so soon.

Brooke Hathhorn was visiting relatives in Wisconsin when her 4-year-old cousin Noah fell into a swimming pool at a water park.

His mom says she found him face down and that he may have been in the water for a minute or two.

Noah's mom began CPR, and after Noah began to show signs that he was responding, Brooke stepped in to give her cousin CPR, as well.

Soon after, Noah began breathing on his own.

Brooke admits she was nervous in that situation, but she remembered what she learned in class.

Brooke's mom, Rachel, is proud that her daughter remained level-headed and was able to help out.

Noah was taken to the hospital and is doing just fine.
