LACKAWANNOCK TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — State police have filed charges against a man accused of raping a 29-year-old woman in a church parking lot.

The incident happened at 12:30 a.m. on April 25th in the parking lot of a church along State Route 318 in Lackawannock Township, Mercer County.

After an investigation, police have charged 46-year-old Ronald Lineberger, of West Middlesex, with rape, sexual assault and simple assault.

Lineberger was arrested Thursday and taken to the Mercer County Jail where he’s being held on $250,000 bail.

He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for next week.
