BRADDOCK HILLS (KDKA) — A teenager was killed and another person is in critical condition after a shooting in Braddock Hills.

Brandon Johns, who just turned 18 last month, was killed just after 4 p.m. Tuesday in the vestibule area of his grandmother’s apartment at Brinton Manor. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s grandmother said he was a good kid. His father, Lamont Johns, said he moved to this area from Chicago to escape the violence there.

He told KDKA his son was shot and critically injured last year in Wilkinsburg. Johns said he told his son to be careful with whom he associated.

A second man was critically injured in the shooting.

He was driven to the hospital in a four-door silver Dodge Avenger with two other men. One of them was apprehended by police near the hospital. The other man is still being sought.
