PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Fox Sports Senior Baseball Writer, Ken Rosenthal, joined the Fan Morning Show on Tuesday to talk about the Pirates as they head into the stretch run.

Ken is worried about consistency in the Pirates ‘bullpen. He tells the guys that the regression of James McDonald, and the numbers of runs the Pirates are giving up are alarming.

In terms of the Wild Card chase, Ken doesn’t see the Cardinals as a big threat to the Pirates. Though they are in position to steal a playoff spot from the Bucs, Ken says he doesn’t see that happening.

The trade deadline left some scratching their heads, and Ken was one of them. He would have liked to see the Pirates pick up one of the big names that was on the market, but he understands why the Pirates made the moves that they did.
