Man Arrested In Connection With Greene Co. Murder

WAYNE TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – Two people shot - one of them fatally in Greene County. State police at the Waynesburg barracks are investigating.

The shootings happened Tuesday afternoon in the small community of Spraggs near the West Virginia border.

There were two victims – both shot several times with a shotgun.

State police say 40-year-old Lana Roe and 38-year-old Cordele Patterson were in a cabin off Strawn Hill Road when they were shot.

Patterson was killed. Roe was shot in the head and taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital. She reportedly has been released.

When she was interviewed by police, she told them her husband, 32-year-old Jason Roe had shot them both.

Roe admitted he did it. He is being held at the North Central Regional Jail.

It is not clear who owns the cabin where the shooting took place and why Roe and Patterson were there.

State police have not released other details about this case.

Roe has an extradition hearing Thursday in West Virginia.
