PETERS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – Two utility poles came crashing down along a busy road and one of them slammed into a passing car.

The accident happened along McMurray Road in Peters Township. PennDOT is widening that stretch near Center Church Road.

A worker on scene tells KDKA a piece of machinery put too much weight on the utility lines and the poles just snapped.

No one in the vehicle was injured. A portion of McMurray Road was shut down for about an hour.
