PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) — The candidates aren’t talking about it. It’s barely in the news. Are you and your friends thinking about it?

Apparently, there’s a growing concern that we as a country are forgetting that there is a war still raging in Afghanistan. In fact, there has been an average of one death a day there.  The U.S. is still warring in Afghanistan, but it seems like no one is talking about it.

KDKA AM’s John Shumway talks to retired soldier Sean Parnell, author of “Outlaw Platoon,” who has become the face of Afghan troops in this country.

He talks about the perception that most Americans don’t care about the war in Afghanistan and what that means to our troops.
