PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — When fans show up for the Steelers’ home opener this weekend, there will be some new features at Heinz Field.
The stadium now has high definition video and audio.
“It will be like sitting in your living room looking at your plasma,” Heinz Field General Manager Jimmy Sacco said.
And on that video screen you’re going to be seeing more than ever before, like when a play is challenged.
“You can look under the hood and see what the referee’s looking at,” Larry Richert, the new voice of Heinz Field, said.
Back again with even bigger prizes, the 1st in goal program aims to lure in fans as soon as the gates open Sunday at 2:30 p.m. with music and giveaways.
In the FedEx Great Hall, you will find the brand new Pub 33 with up to 40 different microbrews. On the fourth level you’ll find Hickory Bridge BBQ Co.
Prices are changing too.
“There’s increases on certain items on the menu and basically it’s increases that are already in effect at the other venues around the city,” Sacco said.
