MLB Network's Brian Kenny Is Following The Buccos Down The Stretch

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- MLB Network Host Brian Kenny joined John Seibel and Josh Miller of Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN to talk about the Pirates chances of actually finishing above .500.

We also talked about the National League wild card situation, and Brian said things change on a week-to-week basis in that race and he was expecting St. Louis to make a run, but they haven't been able to put it all together yet.

When it comes to the Pirates, Brian told us how important it is to fans across the country for the Pirates to end their streak of 19 consecutive losing seasons.  Brian said "we're talking about it a lot, and I think people around the country do feel good about Pittsburgh and Baltimore and Oakland doing well and putting people in the seats, fans being excited."

We wrapped things up with Brian talking about some national headlines including Roger Clemens' potential comeback, the suspension of Blue Jays Shortstop Yunel Escobar for a gay slur on his eye black, and the Nationals shutting down Starting Pitcher Stephen Strasburg.
