Walk On Wednesday: 'The Horse Is Out Of The Barn'
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - Pirates broadcaster and former pitcher Bob Walk joined the guys on The Fan Morning Show for his weekly spot "Walk on Wednesday," following a 6-0 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers.
He thinks pitching is typically more to blame when you allow a team to steal seven bases, as the Brewers did last night. He felt the Bucs should work hard this offseason to become quicker in getting the ball to the plate.
"The horse is out of the barn for this season," he said.
He also pointed out that it is difficult to criticize Clint Hurdle, because we don't know enough to target any exact source of the Pirates' issues, and due to the fact that this has been a magical season despite the recent collapse.
