PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) — Every Wednesday, Pirates’ color analyst Bob Walk joins the Fan Morning Show.

This Wednesday, he talks about player development issues with the Pirates. Bob doesn’t really have an issue with some of the things they are doing in the minor leagues. He said that when he was a player, they would do martial arts, and carry shovels over their heads, so he doesn’t see it as being very unusual.

Bob tells us that the Pirates are doing as much as they can to teach their developing players fundamentals. And, like in last night’s win over the New York Mets, if you hit home runs and get pretty good pitching, it covers up mistakes.

Bob joins the Fan Morning Show every Wednesday at 8:20 a.m.
