Penn State’s Bill O’Brien Gearing Up For Big 10 Play

PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) — Penn State head football coach Bill O’Brien chats with Vinnie & Cook on Sportsradio 93-7 The Fan.

Coach O’Brien gives his overview of the Nittany Lions as they begin Big 10 play this week at Illinois.

Coach O’Brien tells how he has kept his players and assistants on task through the difficulties this season has provided, and whether the Illinois coaches overstepped their bounds by actively recruiting his players.

He also sticks up for the Big 10’s national reputation, and tells how QB Matt McGloin has impressed him so far.

You have to prove things on the field so of course there a lot of teams down south that are playing well right now. Alabama is having a great year but we have some good teams in the Big Ten with some really good coaches so it’s not where you start out it’s where you end up so let’s see how the Big Ten does in these bowl games at the end of the year and I can tell you that watching these Big Ten teams on tape and on TV, in my opinion it’s a very strong conference so I think we have to let it play out.
