Day Of Giving Gives Hair Peace A Chance For Matching Funds

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - Nine years ago, KDKA-AM's afternoon traffic reporter Bonnie Diver was diagnosed with breast cancer, and her path from patient to warrior is inspiring and life changing.

Through her battle, she started a nonprofit group called Hair Peace, which helps other breast cancer victims with assistance for wigs, as well as help with cancer therapy, guidance, and prayer groups.

On Wednesday, Oct. 3, The Pittsburgh Foundation will hold it's fourth annual "Day of Giving," where they will match funds donated to over 600 nonprofit groups in the Pittsburgh area, and Hair Peace is among them.

KDKA-AM's Larry anf John talk to Bonnie about her organization and how your charitable gift can go further on this special day.
