WEST MIFFLIN (KDKA) — CWest Mifflin police are questioning a trucker after he lost a load of diesel fuel in West Mifflin Thursday evening and kept on driving.

The spill closed Lebanon Church Road in both directions near the Allegheny County Airport.

“We stopped traffic; used oil dry and booms to block all the storm drains,” said Neil Wagner, of the West Mifflin Fire Department. “PennDOT came with a salt truck [and] used that to help clean up the excess diesel fuel that was on the ground.”

It’s still unclear whether the driver will face charges.

The spill tied up traffic while crews cleaned up the mess.
