PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Every Monday morning, 93.7 The Fan Steelers Insider, and Post-Gazette beat writer, Ed Bouchette joins the Fan Morning Show.
The offensive line put up a very solid effort Sunday night, and Ed was as impressed as we were. Ed praised the guards on the inside, and thought that Mike Adams did a fantastic job filling in for Marcus Gilbert.
Jonathan Dwyer also had a big game. Ed said that Dwyer “showed nice burst” to get through holes that were given to him by the offensive line. When he made it through, he then used his size and power to his advantage.
Ed was also impressed with Heath Miller and how he was able to stay in and block, but, also, beat a corner back on a fade pass to the corner of the end zone.
It wasn’t all positives for the Steelers though as they had to come from 11 points down because of a very sloppy opening 20 minutes of play.
Mike Wallace was one of the many players who would have been considered a goat if the team had lost. Ed outlines Wallace’s drops, and the penalties that could have really hurt the team.
