Man Arrested In Connection With Lawrenceville Sexual Assault

LAWRENCEVILLE (KDKA) – A man has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault in Lawrenceville Sunday morning.

According to police, they found the alleged victim after officers were called to a convenience store near the Pittsburgh Zoo.

The suspect has been identified as 27-year-old Juan Murray.

The alleged victim told police that Murray had sexually assaulted her twice Sunday morning at a nearby apartment.

Murray was arrested and arraigned a short time later.

A neighbor said it’s no secret that Murray was abusive.

“Thumping, kicking, her screaming. All the neighbors have been complaining about it,” Tracy Dudley said.

According the criminal complaint, the alleged victim told police Murray is a known heroin dealer.
