PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) — Steelers Insider and Post-Gazette beat writer Ed Bouchette joined Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sports Radio 93-7 The FAN following the news that the Steelers will not release nose tackle Alameda Ta’amu despite his off-the-field troubles.
When asked how close the Steelers came to cutting Ta’amu, in his opinion, Bouchette said “it looks like they did not come close” to letting him go.
Bouchette also gave us some clarification on the roster exemption the team had for Ta’amu, and what their options were in suspending him longer than two weeks.
Bouchette also talked with us about wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders being called to the Commissioner’s Office for allegedly faking an injury in the Sunday night game against the Bengals earlier this year.
