Police Probe Shooting In Greenfield

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police are investigating a shooting in Pittsburgh's Greenfield neighborhood.

The incident happened around 9 p.m. in the 3900-block of Coleman Street.

A neighbor says he heard several gunshots, went outside and found the victim lying outside a home.

"You have a guy screaming. He's holding his phone, screaming at us to call 911, and you know, he's obviously in shock," said John Mobley, a neighbor. "Apparently, nothing like this has ever happened in this neighborhood, in all the time that they've lived here. There's a woman who has lived here for 42 years and the worst thing that happened was that her son broke her leg over the winter on that hill."

According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, witnesses reported seeing four people running from the scene.

The victim appeared to have been struck in the torso.

The man's identity has not been released; but according to the Post-Gazette, the victim was a college student in his 20s.

It appears that person's wounds were not life-threatening.
