Steelers Getting Ready For Final Push For Post-Season

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Steelers will begin their final push for the post-season Sunday at Heinz Field.

With just four games left in the regular season, they're in playoff position but they need to keep winning if they want to keep playing.

With each practice, the throws seem to get a little easier, the shoulder seems to get a little healthier and you can hear the impact of Ben Roethlisberger's pending return in the voices of those who will benefit most.

"Obviously, he's one of the best players on our team; he's one of the best quarterbacks in the league, so whenever we can get him back, the better for us," said Steelers tight end Heath Miller.

"When Ben's in, it's just a whole different level," added Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace. "I think he brings a dimension to the team that nobody else on our team can bring."

On defense, the Steelers may also be inching towards the return of a full-time Troy Polamalu.

Polamalu returned last week after a seven-game absence, but he played sparingly. He revealed this week that his latest injury was different than the one he suffered early in the season.

"It was just a different muscle," said the Steelers' safety.

And whether we'll see a fully healthy Polamalu out there on Sunday, with hair flying as high as his leaps over the line rather than the tamer version we saw in Baltimore, remains to be seen.

"I just play, if that stuff comes, it come," said Polamalu.
