PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) — Legendary NFL quarterback and “The NFL Today” analyst Dan Marino joined The Fan Morning Show on Friday to share his thoughts on Sunday’s huge matchup between the Bengals and the Steelers at Heinz Field (1 p.m., KDKA-TV).

Despite both teams still being right there in the playoff hunt, the two squads are hardly riding a wave of success into this game. Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton hasn’t quite been himself lately, and the Steelers are coming off a heartbreaking loss in Dallas, which was followed by questionable comments from Ben Roethlisberger about the team’s playcalling.

Dan told the guys that a major key to victory for the Bengals will be keeping Dalton’s head in the game, and not letting him get caught up in some of his recent struggles. But Marino pointed out that it won’t be easy.

“Of course it’s on his mind,” Marino said.

In response to Roethlisberger’s recent comments, Marino recounted a few instances during his playing career in which emotions ran high and caused players to act out of line.
