PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) — Post-Gazette Penguins writer Seth Rorabaugh joined The Fan Morning Show on Thursday to break down the Pens’ 5-2 loss to the Maple Leafs in their home opener on Wednesday.

He saw the Penguins’ lackluster effort as the game progressed as reminiscent of their struggles in the third period against the Rangers on Sunday, thinking those might have rolled over into this contest.

He felt that the crowd might have been a little distracted by the plethora of festivities and promotions surrounding the home opener.

The Penguins’ next game is Friday at 8 p.m. against the Jets in Winnipeg.
