Mother Of Twins Killed In N. Braddock Fire Waives Hearing
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The mother of twin boys killed earlier this month in house fire in North Braddock waived her right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday.
Delawna Berran-Lett, 32, of North Braddock, faces multiple charges including two counts of involuntary manslaughter after the death of her 3-year-old boys, Kyier and Dyier Arthur.
Investigators say Berran-Lett left the boys home alone on Jan. 4 after she went to find her 15-year-old daughter who had allegedly taken marijuana out of her purse.
According to authorities, the boys turned on the burner of a grease-covered stove, igniting the Rebecca Avenue home on fire.
The boys died from smoke inhalation and burns.
Berran-Lett will have her formal arraignment on March 4.
