PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – It’s a sad day for some folks downtown who eat at Primanti Bros.

After nearly 20-years in business, the location on Cherry Way will close its doors today.

It’s a popular lunch destination for folks who work around the Forbes and Grant Street areas.

A representative from Primanti Bros. says about a year ago they decided to consolidate the Cherry Way location with the newer store in Market Square.

All of the employees at the Cherry Way location will be offered jobs at other stores throughout the region.

There are several other Primanti Bros. stores throughout Pittsburgh and its suburbs, as well as three locations in Florida.
