PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Crews have secured three runaway barges on the Ohio River.

According to Allegheny County emergency dispatchers, the barges apparently came loose at Brunot’s Island this afternoon.

Officials say a towboat was called in to corral the barges.

There’s no word on what caused the barges to come loose or whether there have been any injuries.
