PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Part of State Route 70 in Westmoreland County was shut down from more than an hour early Friday morning when a man led police on a high-speed chase.

It started around 1 a.m. in Rostraver Township when police tried to pull over a car driving erratically on State Route 51.

The driver then fled at a high rate of speed and drove onto SR 70 going to wrong direction, eventually hitting a cement median.

The driver was flown to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital and will face multiple charges.
