Light Rain And Snow Expected Early Tuesday

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Some more moisture is expected for our area again Tuesday.

A winter weather advisory is in effect overnight for some rain and possible light snow.

There isn't expected to be enough snow to leave any accumulation and temperatures are expected to reach above freezing until lunch time, so the morning commute might be wet but not too treacherous.

"So travel issues are not expected," KDKA's chief meteorologist Jeff Verszyla said.

However, around mid-day, some wind is expected, as well as falling temperatures. By late day, the temperature will dip below freezing at around 30 degrees.

Jefferson, Indiana counties and the ridge tops could get a couple of inches of snow in that time period.

"Anything left over in terms of moisture – and there shouldn't be much – will fall in the form of flurries tomorrow afternoon and into tomorrow evening," Verszyla said.
