MURRYSVILLE (KDKA) — About 75 people held a candlelight vigil Wednesday evening at a horse park and camp ground in Armstrong County for a local mother and daughter shot last weekend in Murrysville.

Gina Llewellyn, 50, was shot to death, and her daughter, Lynall, was wounded by the husband of the younger Llewellyn’s friend.

Authorities say the gunman then fatally shot himself.

Nicholas Mitralos, a family friend, said Gina’s death was difficult to accept.

“She made everybody feel important,” Mitralos said.

Dominick Llewellyn talked to his sister in a video phone call using face time.

He said, “I love you sis, please get some rest.”

Llewellyn later said, “My mother is watching over us, helping us get through this.”
