Pitt Coach Paul Chryst Gives Blue/Gold Game Preview

PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN)--Friday night is the Blue/Gold game for the Pitt Panthers Football team. The game will be played at Bethel Park High School's Football Stadium.

To preview the game, the Head Coach of the Panthers, Paul Chryst joined the Fan Morning Show.

The Coach is going to be looking for many things from his team tonight.

"You want to make it look like football," Chryst said, "and find out where your limits are."

If one side of the football is doing really well, that could mean the other side is having a rough night.

"Someone's going to win on it, someone's going to lose," he said. "You just don't look too much into it."

Tom Savage appears to be the front-runner to be the team's Quarterback this fall. Chryst says that Savage has been spending a lot of time at the team offices going over the playbook and working closely with the coaching staff.

While tonight's game will not have a profound impact on what happens in the fall, Chryst says that football purists really enjoy seeing game actions. The players and coaches really get into the game and have fun.

We also hear how he addressed the team following Rushel Shell's departure.
