PITTSBURGH (93.7 THE FAN) – The Pirates swept the Cincinnati Reds over the weekend, capped off by a come-from-behind 10-7 victory on Sunday. One of the heroes of the game was Michael McKenry, who hit two home runs and sparked the comeback.

On Monday, he joined the Fan Morning Show to talk about it.

“It was a huge, huge win for us,” McKenry said. “I would say they are one of our top rivals.”

As for the home run itself, McKenry tends to have a flair for the dramatic. He has produced some of the most incredible moments for the team in the last few years, and said that having faith in himself and his beliefs is what helps him be productive in those situations.

Michael knew that the hitting would heat up after a slow start.

“Hopefully, we can keep the ball rolling,” he said.
