New Zip Line Adventure Opens In North Park

McCANDLESS (KDKA) -- A new zip line course opened to thrill seekers this weekend.

The long-awaited opening of the Go Ape! Treetop Adventure debuted in North Park Saturday morning.

The course, which takes two to three hours to complete, features a series of zip lines, swings, ropes, bridges and ladders.

The new attraction spans six acres.

Participants are equipped with harnesses, pulleys and carabiners.

"It's about two to three hours of outdoor and physical activity. We're going to give you about 30 minutes of training, and then set you free up into the trees," said Dan D'Agostino, the owner. "There are lots of different challenges for people – bridges, trapezes, rope ladders - all sorts of other good stuff."

The course is the first of its kind in Pennsylvania.
